Massachusetts relaxed several COVID-19 restrictions on Monday, after promising COVID-19 data was released. The latest data showed a 10% drop in hospitalizations and an average positivity test rate drop of 33% since early January. However, the full set of rollbacks won’t yet take place in Boston.

Businesses such as restaurants, movie theaters, and health clubs may now stay open past 9:30pm. Premises that sell alcohol, including liquor stores, may also remain open past 9:30pm. 25% capacity limits remain in place.

Gatherings and events are also now permitted to continue past 9:30pm, but capacity is limited to 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors.

The stay-at-home advisory has also been lifted, meaning people are no longer required to stay at home from 10pm to 5am except for work or other essential travel.
