President’s Day is here. And if you’re reading this, odds are you don’t have any plans. So how can you spend today without having made prior plans?
While the weather forecast for today isn’t fabulous, take the opportunity to find a local walk — because if you live anywhere in New England, a beautiful hike isn’t far no matter if it’s rain or shine. If you’re coming from Boston, we’d recommend Hopkinton State Park in Hopkinton, which is not only known for being the starting point of the Boston Marathon, but it’s also an ideal state park for a day out in nature. Located just a short drive from the city, this park not only has hiking trails for all levels, but it also has the beautiful Hopkinton Reservoir.
If overcast weather isn’t your thing, try to book last minute tickets to the cinema this evening or make your own at home. Take a look through which Oscar-nominated films you still haven’t seen, pop some popcorn and strike one off your list.
Finally, today is a day for catching up — but not catching up on house chores. Get out the games and puzzles you never get to play or pick a recipe you’ve always wanted to try.
