It’s been announced that the U.S. will ease foreign travel restrictions this November, allowing international visitors who have proof of vaccination and a negative Covid-19 test to enter the country.

The current travel restrictions have been in place for 18 months, meaning family and loved ones will have long-awaited reunions.

Countries have until now faced a variety of restrictions, which many have complained have been confusing. Non-American citizens who have been in Europe and most of Asia the previous 14 days prior to entering have also been largely barred.

To enter, all foreign travelers must show proof of vaccination and proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken within three days of the flight before boarding the plane.

The rules take effect as the White House also announces testing rules will be tightened for unvaccinated American citizens, who must be tested within a day before returning to the states, as well as after they arrive back.
