Massachusetts has a new pre-registration system for Covid-19 vaccinations, as of Friday, March 12.

This means all Massachusetts residents eligible for their Covid-19 vaccination can now pre-register and book an appointment at their nearest vaccination site online. This online portal is now the only way to book an appointment at one of Massachusetts’ seven mass vaccine sites. Once you register in the portal, you will be placed in an online queue and will be notified once an appointment slot becomes available. Booking a vaccine appointment at retail pharmacies remains the same.

“The preregistration system is designed to make it easier for residents to secure an available appointment, and we’ll soon replace the current process of large numbers of appointments being posted online on Thursday mornings for mass vaccination sites,” Gov. Charlie Baker said this week.

Currently, all those eligible for a vaccine should pre-register, which includes all MA residents under Phase 1 — those 65 years and older, individuals with more than two kinds of certain medical conditions, residents and staff of lower-income senior housing, K-12 school staff and childcare workers.
